  1. Visa Types:
    • Tourist Visa: This allows entry into Rwanda for tourism purposes.

  2. Visa on Arrival:
    • Rwanda offers visa on arrival facilities for most nationalities at Kigali International Airport and certain land border crossings. Travelers can obtain a visa upon arrival by completing the application form and paying the visa fee in cash (USD is recommended). It is advisable to carry the exact amount in cash as change may not always be available.
  3. E-Visa:
    • Rwanda also provides an online e-visa system that allows eligible travelers to apply for a visa before arrival. The e-visa can be obtained through the official Rwanda Online Visa Application System website. The e-visa should be applied for at least three days before the intended travel date.
  4. Visa Requirements:
    • Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended duration of stay in Rwanda.
    • Application Form: Either the completed visa application form available at the point of entry or the online e-visa application form.
    • Passport-sized Photos: Two recent passport-sized photographs.
    • Visa Fee: The visa fee varies depending on the type of visa and nationality. It is typically payable in USD.
    • Return Ticket: A copy of your return or onward ticket showing your departure from Rwanda.
  5. Yellow Fever Vaccination:
    • Rwanda requires a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate from travelers coming from, or transiting through, countries with risk of yellow fever transmission. Ensure you have received the necessary vaccinations and carry the yellow fever certificate with you.
